“Find a need and fill it” was the famous credo of acclaimed industrialist and entrepreneur Henry Kaiser, and this is exactly what our founder Ben Cote did in developing iQK’s first tech. Working closely with government officials, Ben created and implemented the first ever federally approved HACCP plan for large scale sous-vide (low-temperature) manufacturing in Canada. While doing so, he became aware of many gross inefficiencies in traditional food-safety methodologies and protocols. These inefficiencies translated into time wasted, money wasted, misallocation of manpower and resources, and headaches in general for operators. Ben saw these inefficiencies as being unnecessary, so he set out to make them obsolete. iQKitchen was born from the need for a better and up-to-date way of meeting food-safety mandates — a smart food safety solution.
